Doon case: Victims' kin face police apathy
DEHRA DUN: Even as the police sent out teams to nab the three Doon School boys, who allegedly killed one and grievously injured another, the families of the victims on Saturday claimed that they were being mistreated by cops.
Brother of Rahul Sharma – one of the victims on life support in a Dehra Dun hospital for the past three days – said when he went to the police station to file a complaint, he was turned away by cops.

"Nobody from the administration or the police have contacted us yet. In fact, when I went to lodge a case, I was told that since Vikrant's father had filed one, I do not need to do so," said Rajiv, Rahul's elder brother.
Three Dosco boys, out for a party after their last Class XII boards, allegedly hit a motorcycle with their car, instantaneously killing Vikrant Singh, a local school teacher, and leaving Rahul comatose on Wednesday.
Dehra Dun SSP Sanjay Kumar Gunjial said a team of four policemen had left for Chandigarh on Saturday to question
Abhimanyu Walia, the boy police say was behind the wheel.
"We have sent an investigating officer each to Delhi and Muzaffarnagar, where the other two boys live,"he said. All three boys fled after the crash and are with their families.
Gunjial told The Times of India that Delhi-based Uday Pratap Singh and Pranav Swaroop were passengers in the car and their role in the accident would also be investigated.
"In case, they become witnesses in the case, they will have to be seen differently. However, if the investigating officers feel they were also at fault, things will be different,"he said.
